With two locations, Frankfort Chiropractic Center aims to serve all local residents whether they are suffering from a sore back or serious chronic pain conditions.

At both the eastside Brighton Park Boulevard and westside Twin Oaks Circle locations, Frankfort Chiropractic offers rehabilitative services as well as more relaxing methods like massage therapy.

Frankfort Chiropractic Center owner Dr. Jason W. Luking, who’s had the businesses since 2005, said he and the other three chiropractors on staff have techniques that span from mild to aggressive depending on what a specific patient wants and needs.

With Kentucky and the rest of the country in the midst of an opioid epidemic, Luking said Frankfort Chiropractic’s emphasis on their non-medicinal methods is all the more reinforced.

“We try to think chiropractic first at this office with the epidemic in pain pills … A lot of our patients, that’s what they want,” Luking said. “They want chiropractic stretching, massage first to relieve their symptoms without taking any medication.”

Though these chiropractors deal primarily with state workers whose backs have been plagued by many hours of sitting, both locations see patients of all different ages and physicality, Luking said.

Regardless of the patient and what type of pain they are experiencing, Luking said the staff aims to treat them to whatever extent is necessary — not too much, not too little.

“We do the minimal number of visits to get somebody better. Just as we don’t want to treat them too many times, you don’t want to undertreat somebody either and then come back two weeks later. That’s a hard thing to do.”

Aside from the therapeutic massage and chiropractic adjustments, Luking also performs Electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) tests, which gauge the level of electrical activity in nerves and muscles and can help determine effective treatments for spine patients.

Frankfort Chiropractic’s list of accepted insurance providers includes Humana (Including Kentucky State Employees Benefits) Anthem, Aetna Medicare Medicaid Wausa, United Health Care/CAN, KY and OH Workers Compensation and Auto Insurance, as well as many others.
