Family Dental Center’s goal is simple — “be a blessing to its customers.”
That core mission for Family Dental owner Dr. Patrick Peters and the practice’s staff is driven by an effort to revive the emphasis on quality customer service, he said.
“We want to be the best service practice in Central Kentucky,” Peters said.
Family Dental’s desire to serve spans multiple areas. Not only does the office specialize in family dentistry, but it also has an orthodontist on staff, Dr. Nancy Shackleton, who provides dental implants and performs CT scans, which produce 3D images of your teeth.

Whether the patient needs teeth whitening, a root canal, a bone graft, TMJ disorder treatment (associated with jaw pain) or wisdom teeth removal, Family Dental Center has it covered.
This month, the center is rolling out a new scanner that eliminates the need for the gook-like substance used to take molds of patients’ teeth.
“We can actually scan the crown preps or the implants and have them restored with no gook in your mouth anymore,” Peters said.
This new technology will make customers’ experience that much more comfortable, something of the utmost importance to Family Dental Center.
Part of how the office aims to help patients is the simple, but effective notion of listening to them and ensuring that they have access to their dentists.
“We have a busy practice, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have time to listen,” Peters said.
All patients on record will have access to doctors’ cell phone numbers, and the office usually can accommodate patients within 24-48 hours after calling.
With four dentists and a team of hygienists, dental assistants and administrators on staff, the Frankfort office has plenty of employees ready to cater to patients’ needs.
In addition to the local office, Family Dental Center also has a practice in Louisville, which matches the level of professionalism and service of the team in Frankfort.
