December 21 and 22: No-School Days
The Kentucky Historical Society, located at 100 W. Broadway St., is hosting No-School Days Kids Classes. Gizmos, Gadgets and Gumption: Kentucky Inventors (for ages 6-8) and History Detectives (for ages 9-12) will be from 9 a.m.-noon and Making Music with Kentucky Roots (for ages 6-8) and Soldiers, Sweethearts and Statesmen: Civil War Life in Kentucky (for ages 9-12) will be from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Visit www.history.ky.gov for more information.
December 22: Holiday Cookie Decorating
The Paul Sawyier Public Library will host a holiday cookie decorating event from 11 a.m.-noon Dec. 22 at the library located on Wapping Street. Families with kids of all ages are welcome at the event. Registration is not required.
December 23: Welcome wizards!
The Lancaster at St. Clair, located at 306 Wapping St., is welcoming future wizards to a very special holiday celebration. A Wizarding Christmas Extravaganza will take place at 5 p.m. Dec. 16, 23 and 30 and at 7 p.m. on Dec. 27 and 28. Participants will experience magic first hand and a bountiful feast.
