It’s hard to believe that October is just around the corner and with it comes the annual Trunk or Treat event at Capital City Christian Church. This year’s event will be held on October 31st in the church parking lot featuring many decorated trunks and a boatload of candy for young and old. Trunk or Treat is an open event for the Frankfort/Franklin County community and all are welcome to attend. Last year, over 1,500 people participated in the fun and excitement at Trunk or Treat! In addition to the safe trunk-or-treating experience, your children can enjoy inflatables, face painting, and prizes. Families can also get their bellies full of hotdogs and carnival treats like popcorn, snow cones, and cotton candy.
At CapCity we host multiple “all-hands-on-deck” events throughout the year, meaning our entire congregation shows up to make something special happen. In the spring we host our Easter EGGstravaganza, a large Easter celebration with egg hunts for a variety of ages and abilities. Our recently hosted Jesus Prom is a huge party for individuals with disabilities, complete with a band and crowned king and queen. Coming up in December, we will host a family Christmas night called Jingle Jam on Wednesday, December 20th, with lots of games, cookies, and performances from our CapCity Kids and Students. These events are always exciting and some of our favorites as we get to share the love of Jesus with our community.
We hope you will make plans to join us for Trunk or Treat on October 31st from 6 to 8 p.m. for a fun-filled evening. And don’t forget to mark your calendar now for December 20th for Jingle Jam. Be sure to invite your friends and family to come along with you. But, more importantly, we hope you feel loved by God and other people as you participate in these events.
