Get ready to immerse yourself in all things bourbon as historic downtown and the rich bourbon heritage of the region is celebrated with a variety of events, which include bourbon tours, bourbon products from local vendors, a signature cocktail contest, live music and more. Take a Bourbon & History Walking Tour in downtown Frankfort

Join a guide for a 45-60 minute guided walking tour in historic downtown Frankfort. You will be entertained and informed as you learn about Frankfort’s rich history and spirited bourbon past. The tour is one mile in length and begins promptly at 10 a.m. in front of the Frankfort Tourism Commission office located at 300 St. Clair St. The tour is suitable for ages 16 and above. St. Clair Live will take place from 5-10 p.m. on St. Clair Street in downtown Frankfort. The event will include live music and outdoor restaurant seating. The event will also take place on Aug. 10

An evening of Kentucky poetry

An evening of Kentucky poetry featuring readings by Kathleen Driskell, James Gash, Michael Moran and Trina Peiffer, will take place at 6 p.m. at the Paul Sawyier Public Library, 319 Wapping St. A book signing will follow, with copies available for purchase. 127 Yard Sale

The 127 Yard Sale will take place Aug. 1-4 along the U.S. 127 corridor. The sale is the world’s longest yard sale stretching 690 miles through six states. The sale begins in Addison, Michigan, and ends in Gadsden, Alabama.

Yoga in the Gardens

The Jesse Lees will perform at 6 p.m. during Downtown Frankfort Inc.’s Summer Concert Series on Broadway Street.

Midway Summer Block Party

The Midway Business Association will present the Midway Summer Block Party series from 6-10 p.m. on East Main Street in Midway. The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. The event includes local vendors, arts and crafts, food, community organizations, beer and wine. There will also be live music.

Stunt Dogs at the Grand

The Perondis and their cast of human performers and dogs will delight audiences of all ages with their Stunt Dogs performance at 2 p.m. at the Grant Theatre. Performers guarantee high-energy excitement from beginning to end. The theatre is located at 308 St. Clair St.
