Russ Hatter’s Murder & Mayhem Tour
Russ Hatter’s Murder & Mayhem Tour will take place from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in downtown Frankfort. The tour will begin at the Capital City Museum & Historic Sites, 325 Ann St. Led by Capital City Museum director and host of the award-winning podcast Kentucky Deceased, Eleanor Hasken-Wagner, this tour takes you on a walk through history like you wouldn’t believe. Murders, mobs, shoot-outs and more await you on this tour through time. Frankfort has a hidden, dark past and you’ll be taken to the sights that continue to cause fear. Additional dates for the tour are Oct. 10, 17, 24 and 30.

Bourbon Street on Broadway
Bourbon Street on Broadway, part of Bourbon on the Banks, will take place from 6-9:30 p.m. on Broadway Street in downtown Frankfort. The event is free for the community. The will be a costume contest with the theme, “fantasy.” There will be adult and child divisions. Enjoy performances from aerialists to fire-eaters and enjoy music while dining on offerings from our downtown merchants, as well as regional food and beverage vendors. Bourbon on the Banks Festival
Bourbon on the Banks will take place from 2-6 p.m. at River View Park, 404 Wilkinson Blvd. Those attending the festival will be required to purchase a ticket for entry, which allows you to sample libations from over 60 distilleries, breweries and wineries present at the event —mostly distilleries. Attendees will be able to drink and learn about a variety of bourbons, enjoy a scenic stroll along the Kentucky River while listening to live music, taste offerings from a wide range of food vendors and shop the handmade collections of bourbon-themed artisans. Witches Night Out
Downtown Frankfort Inc. is hosting Witches Night Out, a delightfully bewitching cocktail stroll through the heart of downtown Frankfort, on Friday, Oct. 11 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. A perfectly enchanting night of magic, mystery and spirits is promised for those seeking a dash of fun and friendship during what is anticipated to be the spookiest ladies night out experience of the year.

Haunting on the Hill
Haunting on the Hill will take place from 3-9 p.m. at Leslie Morris Park at Fort Hill. Tickets will be available for reservation through the Capital City Museum website starting September 19. Thriller Parade and Trick or Treat
From 5-8 p.m. a downtown Halloween celebration like no other will take place. There will be kids’ trick or treat stations by local businesses and a face painting station from 5-6:30 p.m. The Thriller Parade will proceed down St. Clair and Broadway streets beginning at 7 p.m. Paul Sawyier Public Library will give away free pumpkins prior to the event to carve and decorate. You may also bring your own pumpkin to display and enter into a contest. There will be spooktacular fun for everyone.
