That is what sets Shelter Insurance agent Audrey Marshall apart from the rest.
For the past five years, Marshall has been on-call for her customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
“We are assured if we call her about something, she’ll take care of it,” said Joe Hyman, who along with wife, Patti, has been a Shelter Insurance customer since 1984 when he bought his first home. “She’s always got her door open.”
Marshall’s clients for the past four years, the Hymans also have added auto insurance to their package.
In addition to home and auto, Marshall also offers policies for business, property, renters, personal articles, ATV, boat, motorcycle, RV and farm.
“I enjoy earning my client’s trust by educating them, then supporting them and forming long-term relationships, which then become new relationships with their family, friends and neighbors,” she stated.
It’s building those relationships and connections with her customers that set Marshall apart from her counterparts.
“She’s patient with us and lets us come by her office to pay our bill,” Joe Hyman explained. “When we’re in her office, she gives us her attention and addresses our needs.”
Marshall is currently located in Pine Hill Plaza on Louisville Road. Her husband and his business partner purchased the building in 2017 and have renovated it.
Her hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
“But I am available any other time by appointment and you will often find me at my office well beyond those hours,” she added.
A Franklin County High School graduate, Marshall is proud to be both a small business owner in the city she grew up in and a Shelter agent. Headquartered in Columbia, Missouri, Shelter Insurance has been issuing insurance policies since 1946, operates in 15 states and has been serving residents of the capital city since the ’70s.
