Haunting on the Hill will take place from 3-9 p.m. at Leslie Morris Park at Fort Hill. Tickets are available for reservation through the Capital City Museum website, www.capitalcitymuseum.org. Russ Hatter’s Murder & Mayhem Tour
Russ Hatter’s Murder & Mayhem Tour will take place from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in downtown Frankfort. The tour will begin at the Capital City Museum & Historic Sites, 325 Ann St. Led by Capital City Museum director and host of the award-winning podcast Kentucky Deceased, Eleanor Hasken-Wagner, this tour takes you on a walk through history like you wouldn’t believe. Murders, mobs, shoot-outs and more await you on this tour through time. Frankfort has a hidden, dark past and you’ll be taken to the sights that continue to cause fear. Additional dates for the tour are Oct. 10, 17, 24 and 30.

Beasts of the Bluegrass Tour
On the Beasts of the Bluegrass Tour, you will be immersed in stories of beasts terrifying, eerie and all around you. Suspend reality and open your expectations of what is possible by learning about the werewolves and other creatures, which lurk throughout the Kentucky wilderness. Reservations required. Thriller Parade and Trick or Treat
From 5-8 p.m. a downtown Halloween celebration like no other will take place. There will be kids’ trick or treat stations by local businesses and a face painting station from 5-6:30 p.m. The Thriller Parade will proceed down St. Clair and Broadway streets beginning at 7 p.m. Paul Sawyier Public Library will give away free pumpkins prior to the event to carve and decorate.

Mike Super – Magic & Illusion
Magician Mike Super will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Grand Theatre, 308 St. Clair St. Super has pioneered a new form of magic with his own inimitable, down-to-earth style and personality. He has brought the art of magic back to the people. He transcends the “trick” and connects personally with his audience on a level they can relate to. Whether it’s through television, stage or simply one-on-one, Super’s personality and humor reaches out and enchants the public. Candlelight Weekend
Downtown Frankfort Inc.’s Candlelight Weekend will take place Nov. 7-9 in historic downtown Frankfort. Events will take place from 5-8 p.m. Nov. 7, and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 9. Events include a Lighting of the Christmas Tree Ceremony — a tradition that lights up the heart of Frankfort with Kentucky State University choir and Stewart Home and School choir, horse carriage rides, a petting zoo, meet and greet with Santa and other holiday characters, festive foods and drinks, window decorating contest and holiday vendor booths. Kentucky Humanities Chautauqua to present ‘Adolph Rupp’
Kentucky Humanities Chautauqua will present “Adolph Rupp” at 10:30 a.m. at the Capital City Activity Center. Adolph Rupp coached UK men’s basketball team for 42 years. Rupp’s teams won 880 games, four national championships, one Olympic gold medal and raised the game to “near religious status in the Commonwealth.” But not all of his record was stellar. The center is located at 202 Medical Heights Drive.

The Blind Boys of Alabama
The Blind Boys of Alabama will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Grand Theatre, 308 St. Clair St. The Blind Boys of Alabama are recognized worldwide as living legends of gospel music. Celebrated by The National Endowment for the Arts and the Recording Academy with Lifetime Achievement Awards, inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and winners of five Grammy awards, they have attained the highest levels of achievement in a career that spans over 70 years. The Blind Boys are known for crossing multiple musical boundaries with their remarkable interpretations.

Carb-Load for a Cause at Sig Luscher Brewery
Walk Bike Frankfort will host Carb-Load for a Cause at 6:30 p.m. at Sig Luscher Brewery, 221 Mero St. The event will include a spaghetti dinner and a 0.5K fun run/walk. There will also be a silent auction with proceeds benefiting The Kings Center. Tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for kids.
